Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Freezing whole Tomatoes - Fast and easy. Wash tomatoes and remove stem end. Place whole tomatoes on cookie sheet,. Making sure they are not touching. Place cookie sheet in the freezer. When tomatoes are frozen solid,. Remove tomatoes one by one and place in gallon freezer bags. Freezing this way, you can remove as many or as few as you need. They will Not thaw well for sandwiches, but are perfect to use in stews, sauces, soups, italian dishes, chilis, etc. Kentucky, United States.
