Sunday, January 18, 2009. At an antique store I discovered a leather bound book with a very unique binding system and instantly knew that I could make it into the perfect Art Journal. The book was a cheap looking brown leather painted with gold flecks and the string that held the binding together was a garish yellow cord. But, the bones were good and the idea was strong so I brought it home. January 18, 2009 at 1:55:00 PM PST. I sure do miss your inspiration! May 21, 2009 at 9:54:00 AM PDT.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I had the perfect paper. I had the perfect photos. now what? I don't know why I did it or where I got the idea. but, I cut the one photo into cubes and then adhered it mosaic style. pretty quick, easy and I thought it added a lot of impact, to an otherwise average layout. We are 10 Legs Walking……. Some thoughts of a scrappin' fool…. 1 Cut a journaling block into horizontal strips. Tie a ribbon in a bow or knot to the left end of the first strip, then the right end of the second strip, and so on. 2 Create a page frame by stitching ribbon to each side of the page, then cover the joins with a button or another accent. 3 Collect scraps of ribbon and cover the spiral binding of a journal or album in bows. 4 Tie a bow on a paper clip. 13 Dye ribbons to match anything perfectly.
