A Wedding in Hawaii. How Original. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Irked December 9, 2008. 8212; Kini @ 11:17 am. Over the past few months I have had quite a few people express their assumption that Fiance and I will be leaving Hawaii once we have the wedding. Some even seem to assume we’ll be packing our bags the next day. We certainly didn’t move to Hawaii just to get married here. Whew, thanks for letting me get that out…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. I feel terrible confessing this but I hope I am anonymous enough that I can let it off my chest without any backlash. A friend of mine just announced her engagement. I am happy for her, truly happy. She deserves love in her life, happiness, and this wonderful man. As I type this I’m laughing at myself. “Uniquely special in my engagement? Isn’t that what makes the world go round? A Wedding in Hawaii. How Original. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Yummm… November 21, 2008. 8212; Kini @ 1:46 pm. I booked our cake! Big high five to me! Come Wedding Day, we will be eating an icredibly yummy three layer cake. The big tier will be lilikoi. Yummm… The middle tier will be strawberry. So summery! And here’s where I could use your help. What should the top tier be? Who doesn’t love chocolate cake (but the chocolate wasn’t even close to as good as the fruit flavors)? Create a free website...

A Wedding in Hawaii. How Original. Just another WordPress.com weblog. An Unexpected Success November 3, 2008. 8212; Kini @ 11:43 am. In a fit of wedding dress frustration, I went to Nordstrom.com and ordered a bunch of their dresses. They have free shipping and free returns for anything over $250. Well, over $1,000 later… I had a blast trying on these dresses that the postman brought me. I really didn’t expect much but thought it would be a delightful surprise if one worked out. What do you think? Get ev...

A Wedding in Hawaii. How Original. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Money, Money, Money November 19, 2008. 8212; Kini @ 2:11 pm. I’m been back at the wedding grindstone lately. I promised myself I would book all of our remaining vendors by the end of November. Those vendors being responsible for: cake, flowers, DJ, videography. Yikes! See here, I made a mistake. The only mistake I think I’ve really made in this whole wedding planning process. I built my budget around what I. Not Gonna. Happen. ...I am ...

wedding poop: October 2010
http://weddingpoop.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 14, 2010. So, in my last post I told you about my guestbook postcard fail. And how I filled the rest of my album with purty postcards. Welp, I did find something else to fill my album up. Our postcard RSVP cards! We had left a space on our RSVP cards for our guests to write something back to us. Not every guest did this or got the concept, but the ones who did had written some sweet things to us. I really wasn't sure what I was going to do with them; keep them? Labels: All Things Paper.
wedding poop: Staying Organized
http://weddingpoop.blogspot.com/2010/09/staying-organized.html
Wednesday, September 22, 2010. I can't speak for everyone and I'm definitely not some organization queen. In fact, if you were to see my work office, it's what I like to call an "organized mess", but I do know where everything is located. Okay, I know where things. Be located. BUT I did manage to stay pretty organized during my wedding planning. I kept everything in one binder. Everything. It was real convenient to refer to my binder for our plane itinerary, then double check it for our car rental, and c...

Wednesday, March 24, 2010. A lil' over a year ago, I surprised the hive (and my 'rents) with my.um.massive (? I've had quite a few of bees ask me how it's been going, if it's done yet, etc., so here's an update. My tattoo is definitely. Done yet, but I have had much done since last time you saw it. Just a quick recap. My first session: Say goodbye to the ol' stamp tramp. Last time you saw my tattoo, it looked like this. See that space on my left shoulder? Our wedding venue (photo by. wedding poop: September 2010

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Guestbook wise, I originally wanted to do a Quaker style wedding certificate. But in the end, I didn't have time to design one and didn't have the $ to have someone design one for me. So, instead I went the route of vintage style postcards. I stuck 2 stamped postcards in glassine envelopes for each guest/family, one for them to mail to whomever, one addressed to us. In case you were wondering what the postcard said: "Hey Auntie! We have a groom over here! I love this album be...

Wednesday, March 17, 2010. 30 Years of Bliss. Today, good ol' Saint Patrick's Day, is my parent's 31st wedding anniversary. I don't know the whole story, but the jist of it is, they paid minimal bucks and eloped in California. Remember, I said eloping ran in my family. My parents have been a very good influence on me and my views of marriage. I definitely look up to them and hope to base my own marriage off of their own. The secret to their marriage.date night! Monday, July 20, 2009. A Hawaiian Affair: Ceremony Details. While we were having our intimate " first look. My bestie (and her fabulous hubby) worked diligently at putting our ceremony site together. I felt a lil' bad having my guests work on our wedding day, but that's what best friends are for, right? They did a wonderful job and if I hadn't told them before, THANK YOU! Bestie Lauren being my wonderful ceremony decorator. :o). Very simplistic. Very us. Next up: The Ceremony! All images courtesy of.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. A Hawaiian Affair: Picture time, picture time! Our guests then went off to tour the temple while Frank. Went all paparazzi on our arses. We had about a lil' over an hour to do photos before we had to load onto the shuttle make our way to the "reception". Not having a wedding par-tay meant that whole hour was dedicated to us. That's a whole lot of photos, yo. For being a "small" temple, there were lots of scenery for photos. We had our green mossy, woodsy area:. Ceremony - Take 2.
