Our Italian Kitchen

Thursday, June 8, 2017. Wow It has been a long time since I have had been here. Like crazy long! I'm not sure there are people out there that still follow my blog since I disappeared, but I am hoping to start back up. I can't promise it will be weekly or monthly but I miss this part of my life. The fun cooking and getting to be creative in my kitchen. But enough of that, after 10 months of active treatment I am finally at a place to relax and celebrate. I have no evidence of cancer in my body. As...Then ...

Our Italian Kitchen: 10/1/13 - 11/1/13

http://ouritaliankitchen.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 28, 2013. Rum Raisin Cinnamon Scones. For the month of October, we were challenged to make scones by Jaida from Sweet Beginnings. I'm a big fan of starbucks cinnamon chip scones so I immediately decided to try to make something like that and they turned out fantastic. However my husband requested scones with raisins so I combined two recipes to make one awesome scone, rum raisin cinnamon scone! And it turned out delicious! 3 tbsp brown sugar. 3 tsp baking powder. 1/2 cup butter, cold.

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. The newest and cutest member of the Our Italian Kitchen family, Ella! I have been completely MIA this past year. But I have a very cute excuse! We are the proud parents to a sweet little girl. She was born a week and a half ago. She's the best little blessing we've ever had. After a stressful pregnancy and a painful labor (all the negative stuff), we have the cuddliest, sweetest, most adorable little girl. We love you Ella Bella! Posted by Our Italian Kitchen.

The Horton Family: Still waiting, tests, and a job

http://hortonsgardenstroll.blogspot.com/2015/01/still-waiting-tests-and-job.html

January 29, 2015. Still waiting, tests, and a job. We are still waiting on the neurologist to contact us about Joel. STILL! I contact them daily now and all I hear is out of the office, I'm emailing the doctor right now, and they are reviewing the chart. Really? I took my final test for my provisional license in real estate last week! I had no clue before and was literally crying and mad at myself! God is so good. What a peace that comes with having Him in my life! I am now looking at jobs! We will see h...

The Horton Family: December 2011

http://hortonsgardenstroll.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

December 31, 2011. It is time to settle in and refresh. This house was built for either a couple or a couple with maybe 2 kids, not 8 people (soon to be 9). Until Thanksgiving of last year it was just 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids). Now it is still 4 adults but 2 kids and 2 teenagers and a baby on the way. Wow, it is a tight fit sometimes! I have thought about it for a couple weeks and decided to make this house all of ours. And we can love it! December 30, 2011. We had a great Christmas! I already had c...

January 7, 2015. Several pages in our family book have turned in this past year. We have welcomed sweet Joel to the world. My mom has passed on. Maryjo is no longer living with us. The Horton Family: September 2011

http://hortonsgardenstroll.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

September 25, 2011. Another apple picking adventure! I am so far behind on blogging so I have decided to take today (or a few days and just catch up). It is my goal to update on some of the things going on here in the past month or so. We went apple picking in the end of August again! I took the two little ones at the end of the season last year and we had a blast! Nobody could think straight, much less sleep! I promised that we would go again and take daddy and Gracie this year! We got our Mutsus! The s...
