The Tramizal Diary: August 2013
http://letramizal.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Life in the Lot. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Just sold this picture- a very simple line drawing and one of my favourites that I did long ago and have displayed in my studio. I rather hate to lose it but it couldn't be going to a better home or nicer couple. Sunday, August 25, 2013. La Sirène de Causse Gallery: August 2013. Saturday, August 24, 2013. As I descended the hill into Rignac, Thabo suddenly raced ahead and I heard a scuffly flurry of activity. Then two small furry beasts clumsily sped pasts m...

Life in the Lot. Friday, October 18, 2013. Syria in more peaceful times. One of my very favourite watercolourists is Lucy Willis: lucywillis.com. Today's post brought this wonderful signed print of Aleppo that I snagged on the Oxfam site, www.oxfam.co.uk. Lucy has donated several of her signed prints to raise money for Syrian refugees, so if you want to do a little bit for the refugees and a lot for your home, check out the Oxfam site, and then Lucy's site to see more of her fabulous work. This is the fi...

The Tramizal Diary: December 2013
http://letramizal.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Life in the Lot. Sunday, December 29, 2013. A bittersweet success story. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a former client in Connecticut and asked to paint her cats, one of whom had recently died. I had painted portraits of her three daughters years ago when I lived and worked in New York. A week later, my friend stared at my painting for a long time, before nodding and saying quietly, "You got him.". Saturday, December 28, 2013. Friday, December 27, 2013. The first morning of my watercolour workshop,...

Life in the Lot. Sunday, August 12, 2012. Five years ago, Doug, who was living in Boston, called his girlfriend in New York to invite her to go with him somewhere for a week. "And bring your passport," he added, almost as an afterthought. Little did Yuki know that not only was she about to be whisked off to a small village in southwest France, but that she would receive a proposal, the kind that comes with a diamond ring. A panache of seafood, cheeses and a wedding tower of cream stuffed choux.

The Tramizal Diary: Balmy spring arrival?!
http://letramizal.blogspot.com/2014/01/balmy-spring-arrival.html
Life in the Lot. Tuesday, January 07, 2014. In spite of disastrous floods in the UK and blistering cold in North America, we are having beautiful sunny, nay balmy weather here in southwest France. Bird song filled the woods and by the end of the Monday afternoon randonnée,. Many of us had stripped down to our tee shirts. I was revived at the end of the walk however by a fête. Of Blanquette de Limoux. Poor man's champagne but just as good to those of us who don't know better) and galette,.

the artful fish: the comedown
http://artfulfish.blogspot.com/2008/12/comedown.html
Saturday, December 27, 2008. And now i am on vacation. After almost a week of time with relatives, i am so thankful to have time back for myself. and then i think of all the people who are only by themselves and would love to spend time with relatives. the grass is always greener. I had a great holiday spending time with loved ones but boy can those loved ones rub raw nerves. is that their purpose in life? To love you so much but continue to nag, suggest, impose guilt, blahblahblah? 1 1/3 cups whole milk.
