Wednesday, June 22, 2011. June 22 update 2. We had a baptism in Kisumu on June 4 with nine people being baptized into the Church. The next day they were confirmed members in Sacrament Meeting. We drove up to the branch at Busia on Sunday June 12 to visit with the members there. They had held a baptism service the day before and had one new member to be confirmed. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. We had two funerals in one week. Sister Beatrice from the Kisumu branch lost her daughter a couple weeks after she had lost her brother. The daughter had been really close to her uncle and asked her mother if she was going to die too. Beatrice's brother had terminal cancer and her daughter had sickle cell anemia. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. This has been a busy month since the last post. We have been to Nyabondo and Busia working with the people there. Two more of our Elders were transferred out and we have gotten two Sister missionaries in. Maybe that will help us get more women converts.
