Vacationing with Ashley means you have an activities director with you at all times. She keeps a long list of everything we simply "must" do while we were there, and she will remind you endlessly if she fears it may slip by without doing. We switched to the school where our new house will be zoned for now instead of transferring halfway through the year, so it was an even bigger first day for little A! At open house, the girl had the whole school down in minutes, and so did we, thanks to the awesome layout of the new school and the great labeling! When her teacher called to introduce herself, she sounded so sweet and so full of energy. When I read her bio, I was impressed!

Blessed to have a husband who doesn't think twice about saying yes to me (in fact, he tells me to go before I ask) heading off for a girls getaway and a dear friend who will fly to us from Texas so that our fab 5 group can all be together! We were invited to our sweet friends home to celebrate July 4th and I brought a cookie cake so that Jonathan could be serenaded for the 20th time! Ashley always points out what a lucky kid he is that there is always a party on his birthday that includes fireworks even when his party was another day {not jealous at all, ha! We had been reading The Little House Series prior to these pictures, and spent many months after them building various forms of housing then breaking it all down and moving again.
