Like I mentioned in Syd's birthday post - she's been saving for what seems like forever for her own sewing machine. a girl after my own heart, indeed. Today we drove up to our favorite sew and vac shop in hopes of finding the perfect machine. we took Nana with us, on the phone. The nice lady showed us several different models in our price range. And Syd was able to try out each one herself.but one particular machine felt just right to Sydney and that's the one that came home with us! We love you, bud!

Can't stand sidewalk chalk - but LOVE play-doh! Today the girls got their summer challenges done and then played play-doh for the whole day. Did I mention I love play-doh? My beautiful sister Brittany had a quick layover in Seattle on her way to visit our Mom in Colorado. our visits the last few years have been infrequent with her being all the way up in Alaska! So when we heard there would be a layover here we jumped at the chance to see her. We had a brief but sweet visit. We love you and miss you!

We did a great job.but have worries for the future on his birthday - that as he gets older it will become more difficult to make his day as special as it needs to be.if anyone has any great ideas.please share them in the notes!
