Turning ugly earrings into swanky buttons. Remember these big wood earrings from the gigantic garage sale I went to a couple of weeks ago? Well I decided to turn them into funky buttons this week. First was sanding the surface and removing the design. I then painted some of the shapes different colours while leaving some spots au natural - those areas I added oil to in order to bring out the grain. And here they are done! Giftie for one of my FAV BFFs. This weekend I took a bit of time on Saturday to make a birthday gift for one of my most favourite BFFs. Remember these clip on earrings I repurposed? Two into a pair of regular earrings. Alas I lost one of the earrings and decided to update the lone earring into a ring for my BFF's birthday. Here are the earrings from when I repurposed them the first time. These turned out perfectly. And unfortunately one went missing. I first glued the ring and clip on earring together.

The time is now for getting crafty and prepping for Crafternoons! I need to make samples for DIY stationery, baskets out of 'junk', words out of pipe cleaners and scrap yarn. Thursday, June 5, 2014. 1 chicken, 2 chicken, 3 chicken. So moving week wasn't moving week. Needless to say we were freakin homeless for nearly a week due to the title companies negligence. The sellers late husband had 2 kids with another woman who in the event of death were to become heirs to his estates.
