Maranomi – The New Normal. As we come to the end of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, I wanted to share a post I wrote a few months after our baby girl went to Heaven in 2011. Saturday, August 27, 2011. There is no word for this. There is no word for this beautifully excruciating state of being, in which a parent has been separated from her child by death. There is no term to express the existence of a parent on earth while her child lives in Heaven. Why is that? There should be a word for this.

When Divine Healing Isn’t God’s Answer : 4 Focus Points in Ministry

When Divine Healing Isn’t God’s Answer : 4 Focus Points in Ministry. The following is an article by guest contributor (and my sister), Amy Harris. Thanks for sharing, Amy! This topic becomes increasingly difficult when someone (such as a child) dies from a disease or has a life-altering disability. Why didn’t God heal these kids? Why do some people get to be healed and others don’t? It is so hard to express to people what we know of God when they have never experienced Him. 1 Encourage them to talk to God.

After The Rainn- Life after the birth and death of Carys Rainn: April 2015
http://afterrainn.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The Carys Rainn Foundation, Inc. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. And A Rainbow for Each Year. How on earth have four years passed? Paxton has been very excited to be turning four and no longer considered a toddler according to age cut-offs at the library's story time. "I'm four. (pause) I'm four! I think of my girl often, but these days, there are generally much fewer tears, and more anticipation of Heaven. I didn't expect this year to hit me hard. As I was about to turn onto the main road to leave the cemetery...

After The Rainn- Life after the birth and death of Carys Rainn: January 2015
http://afterrainn.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The Carys Rainn Foundation, Inc. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. 3 Lbs and 1 Word. When I was still pregnant with the twins, I purchased a couple of little sound recorders to go in teddy bears. I recorded Paxton and Carys' heartbeats at one of our appointments and recorded Carys' onto one of the recorders. I'd intended to put it in a Teddy Bear and just hadn't found the right bear and the time to do it. Today, I did. Grief is funny like that. There I was, feeling happy, peaceful, and enjoying the moment ...

The Carys Rainn Foundation, Inc. Sunday, April 24, 2011. It seems strange to not be in Sunrise Service, but I can assure you, I'm feeling revived and blessed. We have more to look forward to in Heaven today and it feels so close and so real. We're so thankful for all the prayers and support. We may have lost our baby girl from this world, but we haven't lost her; we know exactly where she is! Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. How easy it is to fall asleep! My baby girl is safe an...

The Carys Rainn Foundation, Inc. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Looking forward to Nostalgia being a thing of the past. Nos·tal·gic,. Nos·tal·gi·cal·ly,. 8230; I know of people keeping their baby’s umbilical cord stump once it’s fallen off, or keeping all of their children’s baby teeth. In all honesty though, what do you DO with all of these things? I’ve been guilty of keeping some strange stuff myself that, when I went back years later, I wondered, “why did I keep that. We look at death as some horrible thing...
