Listening to The Essence of Who We Are. This decision saddened me greatly as I was leaving a 22 year marriage that I thought would last forever. As hard and as painful as it was, it was necessary for my survival. Others tried to push and pull me to stay, but the realization that not all relationships are meant to be permanent empowered me to have faith in myself and listen to my own truth. There is solace in the fact that we are all connected at our core and each relationship has its own season.

This revelation prompted me to reflect on who I am and finally begin to listen to my inner voice. Being true to oneself is not always easy. However finding and nurturing your true self is what our journey on earth is all about. Our stories are different but the outcome is the same.
