The further adventures of Glib Gal. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. A baby shower, hasher style. Headed down to Santa Barbara this weekend for my first baby shower as hosted by good friend SC. Here's a pic of SC and me. She's happy because she finally has a flatter stomach than me and has had about 14 shots of tequila at this point. I'm happy because I knew she'd feel miserable in the morning. Not sure where Lentil thinks he or she will be finding more real estate between now and October. Posted by Glib Gal.

http://hotveg.blogspot.com/2007/07/horacio-and-angel-cloud.html
This blog has moved to Road of Peas. Saturday, July 21, 2007. Horacio and the Angel Cloud. Horacio has used the Angel Cloud as wallpaper on his profile page. This really works, I like the effect a lot. I had just fallen over in the forest, and was wishing the ground was as soft as the clouds looked. Horacio hotlinked this picture on 12 July, 4 short days after I posted it. Here is the Clouds 2007. In which it appears. Posted by the Robot Vegetable @ 14:31. Comments: Post a Comment. Hotlinking the Vegetable: August 2006
http://hotveg.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
This blog has moved to Road of Peas. Sunday, August 27, 2006. Dark Angel and THE V Pilgrim. Is a truly wonderful place, and the hike to to Dark Angel. Is a beauty. It's also very crowded, for the park is Freeway Close and has many excellent easy and easily accessed trails. Getting off the trail is difficult, in that the ground is covered with cryptogamic soil. That you really don't want to walk on. It's better to go somewhere else if you're looking for the true backcountry experience. Has chosen it, sayi...

Living In The Great Land. Why Did The Bear Cross The Road? Thursday, May 19th, 2005. Long and busy day today. I left Juneau on the fast ferry Fairweather to Skagway, where I hooked up with Alaska Direct Bus Line (call 867-668-4833 in Whitehorse and ask for Henry, it’s literally the only way to go from Skagway to Fairbanks by land) for the trip over the mountain to Whitehorse. Tomorrow it’s on to Fairbanks — a long but very scenic bus ride. Filed under: Alaska Life. Elise Tomlinson, Artist.

Living In The Great Land. Steamer Yukon at Nenana. Saturday, June 18th, 2005. The reason it’s been so quiet here is that a day after getting back to Juneau I came down with a vicious summer cold. I’ve been laying on the couch, drinking mint tea, coughing, and watching two weeks of gorgeous sunny Juneau summer slide by outside my window. Other than forays outside for cold meds and cough drops, I haven’t been anywhere or done anything. And a detail from the same postcard:. Filed under: Alaska History.

The further adventures of Glib Gal. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Gee you people are pesky. First MB calls and wanks about my absence from blogging, then BH. Comments on my dear, sweet child's blog about my lack of posting, not to mention the numerous e-mails and back-handed complaints about the demise of Glib Gal I've gotten in the past two months. I do, however, have something to blog about. It's this:. Yes, that is a pregnant woman outside the OBGYN's. Who can doubt our love now? This, among other rea...
