Gallery United Fine Art. Your resource for the best Fine Art on the Web. Friday, November 14, 2008. An Interview with Kelly Cormack. When did you realize you wanted to be an artist? Tough City Writer: Feeling the Rightness
http://toughcitywriter.blogspot.com/2015/01/feeling-rightness.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Rightness, not righteousness. Yes, I'm still here. Some personal things in the great adventure called life have slowed me down a bit; I won't bog you down with details. I've found collaging my way through it all very therapeutic. When I spend time collaging I try not to over think what I do. It's a meditative, perhaps intuitive? Process for me. I just move things around until the composition feels right and then I get the glue stick out. Nick Bantock. View my complete profile.

Tough City Writer: Collage and Congrats
http://toughcitywriter.blogspot.com/2014/11/collage-and-congrats.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. Busy, but very rewarding, days here as I settle into a new job and splitting my time between two places, both filled with people I love and things I enjoy doing. Life is full and very good, but my posts will likely slow down a bit. I'm trying to catch up with correspondence as well, so if I owe you a letter, it's coming! My work partner in crime, released Salmon: A Scientific Memoir. A book of essays, by Shelley Leedahl. I shouldnt open my mouth about the collages since I am in...

Tough City Writer: March 2015
http://toughcitywriter.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. After such a good streak, that was a long time to leave the blog. I have. Been thinking of it- and getting to my art table on occasion- but I've been preoccupied by this. Art making and correspondence has slowed down in the last few months, but I'm managing to chip away at things. So if I owe you a letter, it's coming. Truly. Here are a few things that have been passing through, either in or out. Were definitely the highlight. I'm hoping someone can tell me what they say! 8220;Let...

Tough City Writer: July 2014
http://toughcitywriter.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Karen, who masterfully runs Mail Me Some Art. Aka MMSA), has these great challenges that help me stretch my artistic muscles (for what they're worth). A recent swap was to make postcards out of mono printed papers. I took a course on using gel plates at Collage. When I was in Portland, and I'd been thinking of finally getting my own plate. So…this challenge spurred me to do just that. Masking with the Gel Plate. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. For the record (if, for me only! This was beco...

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Here are two stamps from the different collections. The top is from the Haunted Canada series. 2014), which was released on Friday, June 13th. These "soldiers" are guarding the haunted Fort George. At Niagara-on-the-Lake. The other is from The Haunted Stamp House series. Here's a great post on that series. And the guy with horns? It's from a National Geographic spread on "wild men" of Europe (dressed in some very odd costumes). Hard to go wrong with a bat and a crypt. Sorry f...

Tough City Writer: The Gift of a Letter
http://toughcitywriter.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-gift-of-letter.html
Wednesday, December 17, 2014. The Gift of a Letter. This morning I was up early, so I took the time to write a long letter to a new friend in Germany. I don't know her well, but she took a great deal of time over the last month or so to write to me a few times. I was happy to return a letter and carry on the conversation. I wish you all the best for the holidays and beyond. As my met-via-the-mail friend Pamela. Often writes, "See you in the mail.". And we met in real life too! View my complete profile.
