Out of my Ocean - poetry and thoughts: November 2011
http://outofmyocean.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 21 November 2011. She'd been trapped,. Oblivious to the planet. And its clockwork motion. She had skated on thin ice,. Started fires and left them to smolder. She was a maverick, a firebrand,. She walked on a knife edge. She was mindless, oblivious. Unaware of the great universe,. And the fleeting spark. That was her life. Of her consciousness,. Was honed and polished. Then all of her facets. Began to reflect the light. And her clear eyes shone. With everything she was. And in the vast blue sky.
Out of my Ocean - poetry and thoughts: These Broken Words
http://outofmyocean.blogspot.com/2012/01/these-broken-words.html
Sunday, 29 January 2012. With these broken words,. I try to cobble together. A structure. - A bridge. That is strong enough. To hold the weight. Of all the beauty. In the open spaces. Between what is known,. And what is not. And like a sponge,. I soak in the essence. But when I try to tell. To share the contents. Of this overflowing cup. The words cannot hold it. They lay in silent shards,. I disagree. You cobble well the overflowing. 29 January 2012 at 09:05. Thanks very much. :-). 1 April 2012 at 11:45.
Out of my Ocean - poetry and thoughts: December 2011
http://outofmyocean.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, 10 December 2011. Trying not to move. It was a shallow hollow. In which she kept. No depth at all. Would set it moving. Like a mini tidal wave. Back and forth,. Until it would slosh. Of those who were passing. She tried to keep it inside,. So very very hard to bear. Written for Three Word Wednesday. Thursday, 1 December 2011. I am the fulcrum around which my life rotates,. I hear the rush and shudder as the cogs turn. Ruddy and metallic, this movement is vital. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blog ...
Out of my Ocean - poetry and thoughts: No More Bridges
http://outofmyocean.blogspot.com/2011/11/no-more-bridges.html
Wednesday, 16 November 2011. You take out your blade. And cut down the clouds. Their softness a blight. In your hard edged world. You collate all the bridges. And you set them a burning. But their rusted-out bones. You drag the singing bird. Down from the cloudless sky. Its feathered beauty, stretched. And ragged in your idle hands. You judge the nods and winks. As evidence of your belonging. A cracked glaze on a broken pot. That leaks, and spills, and stains. You think it is just beginning,. Dragging th...

This was written for Sunday Scribblings #234 – Love. I guess in a way, it DID turn out to be a love poem after all… sort of.🙂. September 19, 2010. Like those ...

Out of My Mind
Out of My Mind. Sunday, April 7, 2013. Levi asked me a long time ago to make him this fish. I finally got around to it and then of course Ellie needed one too. I wasn't overly impressed with the pattern. They are pretty easy, but the directions were not very clear. I just winged most of it. If I did them again I would place the fins differently, but it didn't annoy me enough to warrant redoing it. The pattern can be found here. Saturday, January 19, 2013. Mitts and Mini Mitts. I got the pattern from "the...

Out of My Mind's Eye. Life as I see it. Pictures included. Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Although he's really not that big of a guy, in my office once you make a declaration like "I'm going to lose some weight" you have pretty much set yourself up for daily ribbing on your progress or lack thereof. One guy made the mistake of not only admitting to not having heard of "The Princess Bride", (what is that, a movie? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Out of my Ocean - poetry and thoughts
Thursday, 22 March 2012. White Water - Fridge Poem I. Earlier this week I decided to buy myself a present - some magnetic fridge poetry words! They arrived this morning and as I was sticking them on my fridge door this is the first 'fridge poem' to occur. I decided to take a picture and challenge myself to making a new one every day. I doubt they will all find their way here, but this one did. :-). Saturday, 11 February 2012. Goes down as deep as her bones. Oh, she clothes it well, with optimistic flesh,.

Tuesday, 19 January 2010. Some updates from Pingyang then. I've been gone a little while. Been walking. I've been doing Pingyang by night with Shaofang and Shuang Shuang, walking through all the alleys down by Shaofangs school. The school is in a valley, by a mountain. The houses there are old. The roads are awesome. And how much I hate the white strip lights we have inside, I love the yellow street lights. Tuesday, 5 January 2010. A wall of christmas pictures. Me and Kathy trying to read a poem. Friends...

Out of MY Pisces Mind
Out of MY Pisces Mind. Monday, January 17, 2011. It's a New Year AGAIN! Can you believe it? At times I thought 2010 was going to last forever, then suddenly it was over. What did I accomplish during the last year? Well, I took a little vacation to Albuquerque, NM in May. Didn't see much outside the hotel which was fine with me,because it was a convention for cloth dollmakers. That was my fun for the year. Something I chose over worrying about not having a job, running out of Cobra and being turned do...
