The railway lines sit inside a deep ravine which looks like it was excavated out of granite and yellow sandstone, then tiers of walls built, added to and then pulled back in areas resulting in an incredible patchwork relief of weathered stone, brickwork, wonky angles and shadows of cabling and old metal fittings jutting out abruptly.
