Wednesday, 29 February 2012. My top tip of the moment is if you constantly have a piece of chewing gum in your mouth you can't eat food. You can't reach out and sneak the odd biscuit at playgroup without having to go through the whole hassle of discreetly removing the gum etc. I lost 5 lbs this week WHOOPLA! Natterings of a wannabe nutter. Tuesday, 26 April 2011. Black country living museum. We all went on a trip to the Black country living museum (BCLM). Yesterday and had a fabulous time. Sometimes it can be a nightmare finding somewhere to go with 3 kids of varying ages and it is never cheap. My friend asked me if I fancied going back to the museum as we both last went for her birthday last November. You often hear people say that mums are fine tuned to hear their baby cry at night, and that a mama will always wake. In my experience this is true. My husband doesn’t even flinch when our baby cries at night, yet I wake up immediately. I guess that’s her motherly instincts. We have an owl living in our garden! Since when did owls live in the middle of cities? Yet my husband still sleeps through all the commotion!

Being a new mum, the majority of my time and energy is taken up looking after my munchkin, which means the house often gets neglected. My baby is growing at an impressive rate thanks to all the feeding he is doing, which makes for a very tired and unproductive mummy. My tips on feeding family (and self) when you have a newborn:. Cereals and porridge are a good alternative for breakfast and needs minimal effort.
