Luckily, I have a size 8 child to fit it! I probably would have bought it even if I didn't have a size 8 child because it is just so sweet! I love 60's patterns. I love the black dress and white shirt version. How classic! I wanted to make her one exactly like it. They had a brand new bolt of nice thick black velvet .

And it is awesome! Aida has been working on this tote bag for months. I now it seems like years to her, but really only months :). While working on it she had life go all crazy on her: job stress, she moved, etc.etc. You name it. She came to see me when she could on Friday afternoons and we sewed. We added TONS of pockets!

I have been super busy with lessons this year! And sewing when I get a chance. There hasn't been much spare time for blogging. :). I had to write a post about my most recent project. I made a swimsuit! And I love it! It is the most wonderful thing ever! This pattern popped up on the Sewaholic. A retro styled one piece!

Everyone that had an opinion about the hat told us, yes , ribbon! So here is my dad in the final coat and hat with ribbon. The coat has had some revisions since christmas- buttons, a snap in the back to attach the hood to the coat and belt loops. That's Honey de Belgian's big sweet face taking up most of the picture. Focus on the hat- if you can. And Caramel Custard Cup.

I am making her a dress for her birthday. The dress I made for her here is the test run. I wanted to make a practice one to check for fit. Now I have between now and August to make the real one :).
