Apple Nest of 3 bowls. Apple Nest of 3 bowls. A nested set of three bowls made from a single piece of beautifully figured Herefordshire apple wood. If the bowls are aligned correctly, you can see the grain patterns running through all three. These little bowls are just right for serving nuts or olives. They also work really nicely as pinch pots for salt or herbs when cooking. I make these from the cores of my cawl bowls, so as not to waste any materials. The painted bowls are finished with milk paint and natural colour pigments. The combination of smooth curve across the front of the bowl and the strong corner make them ideal for getting into the corners of pans and tasting sauces.
