About Boadicea | Sailing Into her third century

http://oystersmack.org.uk/content/about-boadicea

Skip to Main Content. BBC article on Boadi's birthday. Boadicea is an unusual boat in that at only 30ft long she is 10ft6 in beam and draws 4ft6 and weighing in at a mighty 12.5 tons. This build with a cod head and a fish tail, allows the boat to draw on either her weight to carry through a sea or her small size to be nimble in the creeks.

http://julietdoyle.blogspot.com/2010/08/impromptu-evening-in-heybridge.html

Musings from a muddy island. Tuesday, 24 August 2010. An impromptu evening in Heybridge. On a beautiful evening after a long day's work, we drove over to Copsey's incomparable chip shop in Heybridge, and sat on a bench overlooking Heybridge Basin. We'd intended to repair briefly to the Old Ship after supper, but, following a chance encounter, ended the evening sharing a glass or two of wine aboard a beautiful 40ft yacht in the Lock.
