A long-distance relay race around Springfield, Missouri. There will be five legs to the race, not necessarily in this order:. Short Run (5-7 mi). Long Run (8-12 mi). Mountain Bike (5-20 mi). At at transition point, the person finishing the previous leg will hand off the Team Beacon to the person who will be doing the next leg. The first team to finish the entire course wins. Teams may not cut the course short, nor can they receive outside assistance during the event. Cool Need any help?

Imagine a day long race where you transition between road running, mountain biking, canoeing, trail running, and mountain biking self supported. Now, you can do it as a team or solo. I hope to create this race one day. If you are visiting this site via the 2015 Winter Urban Orienteering Challenge website, you are truly desperate for an advantage over your competitors. And I have to admit I LIKE DESPERATION.
