When I sat on the sofa of the Museum of Contemporary Art, listening to MANY dying languages with English subtitles, it was when I realised the seriousness of the problem. Language and culture interweaves each other. Many cultures are going to be extinct. Is it better to have a world common language and make more people able to understand each other? Hopefully before the few Chinese victims die Or the voice for justice will merely fade away. Language is a cultural component which has suffered throughout many of the aboriginal tribes, as many languages have been destroyed. In fact, out of over 200 aboriginal languages, only 20 remain strong, and they are all endangered by Western influence.
