The Hillers: Mom, Can We Move to California?
http://hillersinvegas.blogspot.com/2015/08/mom-can-we-move-to-california.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Mom, Can We Move to California? I heard that a lot this week as we visited May and Grandpa. The kids had a great time and spent time with their cousins. Plus, they got out in nature. sometimes we forget about nature, living in the desert in the summer. Just the fact that we got to be OUTSIDE in AUGUST without sweating was pretty amazing. Friday, February 27, 2015. Flashback Friday - Me and Steph. Stephanie celebrated her birthday this week, so I had to include a few photos of us as kids. I am guessing we are in fourth or fifth grade here? We have known each other for 31 years - Yikes, we are getting old! Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Janel and I finally got to be on the same team, and we won 6-0 when we played a set at the end of class. Still got it! Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Thoughts on Baby Names. The Hillers: In and Out - Literally!
http://hillersinvegas.blogspot.com/2015/08/in-and-out-literally.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. In and Out - Literally! We got back into town from our CA trip late Thursday night, and the next morning Becky and her family were leaving Las Vegas after a short visit for Dan's UNLV orientation. We had to see them before they went back to Cedar City so we had a quick lunch at In and Out on their way out of town. It's always good to see them - if only for an hour and a half! The Hillers: The Day Becky Baird Got Married - Or the Best Day EVER!

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. The Day Becky Baird Got Married - Or the Best Day EVER! Since we are from Vegas, the photographer rightly assumed we were a sassy bunch, and told us to put our hands on our hips. Our friends Ken and Katie Craig were the emcees and they were absolutely hilarious - complete with outfit changes after each number. We all found it significant that we were at table 10 - a perfect 10! That time I totally cut off Tom so I could stand next to Becky. Great re-cap, Shan! You and Jenn did g...

Sunday, September 16, 2012. This summer was long and hot.which is apparently the prefect weather for growing a garden. Our garden grow into a jungle this year and we have more tomatoes than we know what to do with—I've been picking a pound or two a day since the beginning of August. So, I had to come up with a couple of easy ways to use and preserve this amazing bounty (and waste as like as possible). It could not be more simple to make. Here's how to do it:. 1 to 2 pounds of cherry tomatoes. Freezing In...

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Monday, February 27, 2012. For most of my life I've struggled with dyslexia —. Not just because of the challenges it caused for me in school, but because of the perception most people have of dyslexia. So, I think it’s time for me to speak out and maybe, in my small way, I can help educate people about dyslexia. Now I am consistently hearing similar stories from other dyslexics —. The term “learning disabled” is misleading (and of...The fact ...

I'd like to produce more and less of a consumer , but first I need to acquire skills to allow me to do that. So for the next year I will learn skills like sewing and food preservation. Three weeks ago I started my first sewing class and last week I finish my first project! I made an apron! Labels: Consumer to Producer. Thursday, October 27, 2011. The ballet was choreogra...

Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Obsessed: Pride and Prejudice. My current infatuation, which has grown to a full blown obsession, is for Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. It began quietly over a year ago and has snowballed into what is arguably a sickness. Prior to my current obsession, I’d read Pride and Prejudice. A couple of times (years ago) and I’d seen every movie/TV adaptions—but I was never this captivated. In spring of 2013 my friend, Anita lent me Austenland. The second variety shifts the persp...
