Red Lentil Dhal | Go Healthy For Good

January 22, 2015 in Recipes. 1 Tbsp cumin seeds, bruised. 1 tsp curry powder. 1 lb red lentils, washed well and drained. Handful fresh cilantro, chopped. Fry onion in 2 T oil 2T water. When clear, add 1 clove garlic chopped. Fry further 1 min. Add 1 T bruised cumin seeds. Fry further 2 mins or so. Add 1 lb washed and drained red lentils. Add 1 tsp curry powder 1 tsp turmeric. Continue to stir dry for 2-3 mins. Then pour in hot water to cover lentils by 1 inch. Created by Pablo Seidel.

Quinoa Waffles | Go Healthy For Good

April 9, 2015 in Recipes. 1 Tbsp chopped dates. Cup raw cashews or sunflower seeds. 1 Cup water (additional). Soak dates for 15 minutes in 1 cup water in blender. Add quinoa and cashews and blend well until creamy. Add salt, vanilla and additional water and blend until combined. Spray oil onto hot waffle iron and sprinkle with seeds. Immediately pour batter onto hot iron and sprinkle with seeds again. Cook until steam stops – approximately 8-10 min. Cool on cooling rack. Created by Pablo Seidel.

December 11, 2014 in Recipes. Wassail or Mulled Cider. 2 cups apple juice. 2 cups cranberry juice. 1 Tbsp ground ginger. 2, 3-inch cinnamon sticks*. Juice of 2 lemons. Juice of 5 oranges. Put allspice berries and cloves into cheesecloth or tea strainer. In a large pot, combine all ingredients and bring to the boil. Mull spices for one hour or more over low heat.
