Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Golden Spirit" In The Garden. A few years ago, I helped the Shoes with planting their front yard. The Shoe's cleared the space, installed the irrigation, planted a couple of trees, and had a brick path installed using some cool bricks from San Jose. Bottom photos: Left is a close up of Jerusalem Sage and Right is Verbena (I think). The garden has been mulched which will not only help with retaining moisture but also cut down on weeds. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. A Repurposed Metal Stool. I picked up this seatless stool for a couple of dollars at an estate sale a few months back. The minute I saw it, I thought, wow, that would make either a great plant stand or a fantastic bird feeder! I just needed to purchase some new nuts and bolts, reattach the legs, and squirt some rust colored spray paint on the shiny bolts. Love the patina of the multi layered paint. I happened to have an old rusty "bowl-dish" and which fit perfectly in the seat.

Each year my Dad and Mom put the lights on the tree and decorate it, then they would turn off the room lights and lie on the floor under the tree, holding hands and enjoy the Christmas lights. What a precious memory! So in memory of my Dad I hope we can all keep. The Christ in Christmas and the season close to our hearts.

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Each morning, Monday through Friday I get to the Holladay Lions Club at approx 5:20 am for water aerobics and swimming. Then My Mom shows up at about 6:15 after she drops Dad off on one of his many designated walking trails and after walking his 3 miles he comes into the pool as well. Monday, April 9, 2012. I have had a wild and crazy week at work. My supervisor has been on vacation so I have been here trying to keep "the home fires burning", the stress level low and keep everything in it's place. I was doing pretty good. In my line of work (Escrow) we use a lot of paper and I make several copies during the day. This is all good because I am very organized and my focus is determined. I let out a screech, dropped the lid and stepped away from the machine -. Stress level is now a 5!
