2010 Event | Paddle for Our Planet

The first annual Paddle for Our Planet event will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010. We will start out from Pier 66 (at 26th Street) at 11am and paddle up to 79th Street, stop for a lunch break at the Boat Basin, and paddle back. This trip should take approximately 3 – 4 hours, including lunch. Tips for the trip:. Arrive at 10:45 AM at Pier 40 (Houston Street and the Hudson River). Duration is approximately four hours. This is not required, but we highly recommend it for newbie paddlers!

Kayaked 10 miles on the Hudson River facing heavy winds, strong currents, and enormous boats for the cause. We all had a fantastic time and discovered muscles we never knew existed!
