After an initial interest from a large number of paddlers, (as always happens whenever a trip is organised), the number dropped to a select few. Stuart and Steve (from Quorn and Beaumanor) and Andy O. and Ben (from Paddleplus), downed tools early (Hooray! After a very wet and windy night, the next day saw excellent weather with lots of water and clear skies. Followed, before all retired for a well earned sleep.
