The PADDLE V1 Va'a was built by Va'a Factory in Tahiti, weighs in at 16.5kg and is 7.4meters in length. This Va'a was blessed with the name 'Te Haerenga' which loosely translates in Maori as 'The Journey'. Our Va'a canoe was bought in Tahiti in 2010 and raced in the Te Aito (28km open ocean race) alongside 700 Va'a competitors - the worlds largest racing fleet of single craft. This gruelling race, Te Haerenga was moved to New Zealand and raced frequently at national level.
