Round The World With Paddy Backpack: Its Been a While....

http://paddybackpack.blogspot.com/2008/07/its-been-while.html

Round The World With Paddy Backpack. Saturday, July 12, 2008. Its Been a While. Haven't updated in a while, no place to do it in the cities we were in. For all my photos go to the link on the left that says my FLICKR Photos. The last thing i wrote was about arriving in Biarritz, well, I've a lot to tell so brace yourself for at least a 10min read. Biarritz was good but got quite boring after a few days. We stayed here for a week as we were waiting for post to arrive from home. To get to Madrid we had to ...

http://paddybackpack.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

Round The World With Paddy Backpack. Sunday, May 11, 2008. As i said in my 1st post I'll be leaving on the 16th June, starting off in Amsterdam.(if i ever leave) This is the first leg of the trip, travelling by train mostly and a ferry across to Morocco. These are just rough guides, not actual travelling plans. From Jordan we fly directly in to India and then. I set up the Blog to keep in contact with friends and family and a few others who don't fit into either catergory. ha ha. Until the next time,.

Round The World With Paddy Backpack: June 2008

http://paddybackpack.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Round The World With Paddy Backpack. Friday, June 27, 2008. Welcome to another amazing edition of my blog.okay thtats enough flower throwing for one day. I'm writing this from the lobby of the HOTEL PALYM on rue du Port Vieux in Biarritz. We came here today from Bordeaux on the TGV (i think the fastest train in europe). We are 30 seconds walk right now away from the Atlantic Ocean/Bay of Biscay. Its cloudy but really hot again. Now back to what we have been up to since the last update. With me thinking t...

B is for Backpack: The land of spicy hookahs

http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008/07/land-of-spicy-hookahs.html

B is for Backpack. Saturday, July 12, 2008. The land of spicy hookahs. From Madrid we flew air Maroc to Marrakech, the plane was slightly scary being covered in arabic art and writing. When we finally arrived, even the airport is distinctly Morrocan:. In the middle of the mayhem are storytellers, men with monkeys, snake charmers, women sitting under umbrellas doing henna, people selling everything from dead hedgehogs and ostrich eggs to hats and wallets that looked like they had been stolen from tourists...

B is for Backpack: Forza Italia

http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008/07/forza-italia.html

B is for Backpack. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. We've come down through Italy and I have to say it is beautiful, la bella vita is in evidence here. The most obvious tourist attraction in Milan is definitely the Duomo, a huge Gothic cathedral that takes centre stage with the beauty quotient in the city. I'm not religious, so it doesn't have any significance to me as a place of worship, but it certainly was impressive. Home of Romeo and Juliet, we of course had to go see Juliet's house and famous balcony whic...

http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

B is for Backpack. Thursday, August 21, 2008. On a couple of free days, we did go on day trips to both Pisa and Pompeii. The journey to Pisa was an ass numbing 6 hours in our tiny car. We high tailed it out of there and headed for Pompeii which was about half an hour away. It was so hot that the windows has to be left open or we would have smothered, instead we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. Definitely the worst nights sleep I think I've ever had. On the last day though, when we were feeding them, there...

B is for Backpack: Life and death

http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008/08/life-and-death.html

B is for Backpack. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Later in the day, Brent came out on his porch with the skinned carcass and began hacking into it, there was blood on the white butchers jacket hanging over the chair, all over the porch and its pungent odour in the air. Not to mention the flies swarming around in the heat, it didn't make a nice combination. It really reinforced for me why I'm a veggie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

B is for Backpack. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Now as I post this I'm in Brussels, we're just staying a couple of days before we head to France. We haven't really done much so far so just a few pics. The bottom one is the famous "Mannequen pis" the little peeing boy! We went for the day to a little Dutch town that's maybe a bit more traditional than Amsterdam. It has its own working windmill that we went up. Amsterdam.I never knew you so well. We got some good pictures of The milk maid by Vermeer too. Finally...

B is for Backpack: Thumbs down for Madrid

http://bisforbackpack.blogspot.com/2008/07/thumbs-down-for-madrid.html

B is for Backpack. Saturday, July 12, 2008. Thumbs down for Madrid. To get to Madrid, we came via Irun in the north of Spain and had a three hour stopover to get the next train to Madrid. All that time we had nothing to do but sit on little wooden tracks turned into benches and stare at a little Spanish shopkeeper. The people in Spain, were not all that friendly, granted that we didn't speak Spanish, but you would think staff in a four star hotel would be able to speak English, but they had hardly a word.

B is for Backpack. Sunday, May 11, 2008. I'll be leaving Ireland on 16th June for a year, starting off in Amsterdam:) This is the first leg of the trip, travelling by train mostly and a quick ferry across to Morocco. After Jordan it's into the Mystical East for a few months. After that it's on to Oz and New Zealand where I'll be working for a few months, picking grapes, cleaning rooms, scaring spiders. Hopefully this will earn me enough to move on to Fiji for a few days at least! Countries on my Trip.

Et allez, c'est pas parce que plus personne ne vient lire par ici que le blog de Paddy a pour autant mis la clé sous la porte! Pour vous le prouver, voici la dernière découverte culinaire des Moun.
