Did I say I love the place, after my last trip in 2009? I love it even more now. The highlight this time is our encounter with two herds of elephants during our afternoon cruise. I think this is the closest that I've been with these gentle wild creatures. The babies were so cute! The resident payau at Sukau B&B.

On the 3rd of February, the first day of the Lunar New Year, my wish to go to Pulau Tiga finally materialised. Yeay for great weather that day! I chose not to go by land (boring) and found a boat operator that offers a daytrip there - the trip was dependent on the sea conditions and was not confirmed until late the evening before.

Other than the Terracotta Army, Xi'an is also very well-known for its Muslim Quarter - a centrally located area next to the Drum Tower that offers a myriad of food, glorious food. I regret reading up too much on this, as it made me indecisive over which food I should try, and for which meal. LOL. The Drum Tower, all lit up.
