The summer has finally come to a close, school uniforms have been purchased, school supplies have been ordered, teachers have been assigned, and it was time for kindergarden matriculation. Honestly, I'm not sure I still know what it is. This. Blake after the ceremony in her dress uniform. I could just eat her up in these uniforms. Plus getting ready for school is a no brainer. It makes our mornings very smooth. Fast forward a few days and here she is on the first day of kindergarten.

Aven is 8 months now and so flippin adorable. Kylie and Blake started preschool. They both love their school, teachers and friends. Tuesday, July 31. 5 is a Magic Number. Miss Blake turned five on July 24. It was a busy and action packed day. She opened up her Strawberry Shortcake cash register first thing in the morning. Big hit! Next on the agenda, zoo camp! After lunch Ommy came over to pick up the big girls and take them shopping at Barnes and Noble, they love that place. Sunday, March 10. This was a huge day for many reasons. 2 Isn't this such a daddy milestone? Dad's probably think about this day long before it ever goes down. So last weekend Spencer and I decided to go on a quick trip to Galveston, as 1) I had NEVER been, and 2) it is only about 45 min away.without traffic ;) Needless to say, we had a great time. We laid on the beach, ate fabulous food, walked the strand, and just basically enjoyed each others company :). This is the wonderful hotel we stayed at: Hotel Galvez. Super excited and ready to get this child named. 2)John has been crazy busy lately. Good part: we are fully adjusted to it. Bad part: I'm sure it will now slow down and we will have to readjust. Adventures in Argonia

Monday, March 8, 2010. All that to say, days here are brighter and life is sweeter now that Soren and I can be outside without bundling up for five minutes beforehand. We can lay on a blanket outside and bask in the sun and not be chilled by the wind. It's getting better. The girls came over last week and, like usual, we took pictures around town. Then we went to the River Park which is about a mile outside of town. There is an AMAZING tire swing out there that deserves a picture. Soren's 5 months now!
