Beautiful Words: Surgery Update #1
http://hannah-gun.blogspot.com/2008/06/surgery-update-1.html
Tuesday, June 17, 2008. I've been home since. Deal Everyone has been so helpful. I have gotten so many wonderful presents and meals. Mom has really appreciated the help. I should be back at church on Sunday. Yea! I am finally able to get out of the house. Yesterday Mom and I went to Kohl's and she had to push me around in the wheel chair because I couldn't. That's all for now. I will. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I enjoy going to the movies and to the pool, and I love to hang out with friends.

The Williams Family: November 2008

Monday, November 24, 2008. Saturday I went to the Ten Thousand Villages. 20% bag sale. If you don't know about Ten Thousand Villages it is a non-profit store run almost entirely by volunteers. They promote free trade by selling goods produced by artisans in developing states. Cathie and I spent an hour and a half in there in Saturday just looking at everything. Some of it is too kitchy and not my style, but there are a lot of really unique gift and home decor items. Friday, November 21, 2008. I've been l...

The Williams Family: April 2009
http://simplesymposium.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2009. A conversation with myself. I find that I don't understand people who truly enjoy working out. I mean, I sort of enjoy it but overall I think I would be just as happy sitting on the couch. But I like how I feel after it's over and how I feel more comfortable in my clothes now. But everytime I hop on the treadmill or start a boot camp class the conversation in my head is something like this:. Hmm, this isn't so bad. I feel good today. I can do this.". The Williams Family: May 2009
http://simplesymposium.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2009. Memorial day weekend and beyond. The weekend before this madness my parents came for a visit. We had a fun weekend full of museums, movies, musicals, and a baseball game. They arrived late Friday night. We got up early and walked around Rice. I showed my parents the Baker Institute for Public Policy and all of the neat things on display then. Didn't go to my office since it was locked up for the weekend. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. 1 month in pictures. Three more to go! A day of relief.

Friday, May 25, 2007. Another Story I Wrote For School. I looked in my rear view mirror only to see red and blue lights flashing behind me. I thought. I started to turn my steering wheel towards the shoulder of the road. The cop car behind me stopped and a big, husky man stepped out. He strutted towards my car like him pulling me over was the highlight of my day. I slowly rolled down my window. His uniform was freshly pressed and his badge shone, but he was as hairy as a monster! I frantically asked....

The Williams Family: O-week 2009
http://simplesymposium.blogspot.com/2009/08/o-week-2009.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. We are winding down orientation week 2009 on the Rice campus. I have to say it's really fun and making me nostalgic to see the 900 new freshmen coming to campus. Afterall, I met Chris my first weekend on campus way back in 2002. Each college also has annual events they host on campus. These range from the traditional and classy affair all the way down to beer bike. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A day of relief. One week left in summer. View my complete profile.

The Williams Family: October 2008
http://simplesymposium.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. This is my first full week back in the workforce and I gotta say that I'm exhausted! The job I am currently doing is managing an academic journal on East Asian culture. Last year I worked on a journal with 4 employees and one editor in chief. On average we would have about 80 manuscripts out for review at any one time. In this job it is only me and the editor-in-chief. We currently have over 200 active manuscripts out for review. So in sum, it is a TON of work! I keep seeing all...

The Williams Family: January 2009

Friday, January 30, 2009. My condo's being sold :(. Is it bad that I'm sad that a condo that I liked but never had a true intention of purchasing is under contract? Apparently Houston as a minor league hockey team. Who knew? I've been insanely unproductive this week. Oh well. Better luck next week. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Since my holiday ended on January 5th I have been very busy! Ab exercises, leg focus, and arm focus. I enjoy it about 60% of the time so I figure that's not bad. The Chao Center (m...

Josh and I came up with a really neat potion even though we didn't win. :(. Roy came in 3rd for the costume contest! I met this woman while waiting in line for the bathroom who had two books reserved and her boyfriend didn't want the 2nd, so she offered it to me! We were some of the first people to get the book!
