Paisley Womble: Whispering NaKniSweMo
http://paisleywomble.blogspot.com/2014/12/whispering-nakniswemo.html
Paisley knits, quilts, cruciverbalises, blogs. and overuses the ellipsis. Wednesday, 3 December 2014. To be an "official" project for NaKniSweMo (National Knit a Sweater in a Month), the project is meant to be at least 50,000 stitches. I haven't done the maths for this cardigan in terms of stitches, but I did start and finish it in the allotted time. I've also finally got myself a tripod. So once the garden looks a bit more presentable, maybe I can take some of my FO pics outside in the daylight.
Paisley Womble: Plain Spoken
http://paisleywomble.blogspot.com/2007/02/plain-spoken.html
Paisley knits, quilts, cruciverbalises, blogs. and overuses the ellipsis. Sunday, 4 February 2007. My mum and my aunt were born 10 years and 5 days apart. This February sees them celebrate their 60th and 70th birthdays respectively and the family is having a big birthday bash. Aunty M's quilt is a surprise for her, but Mum made it clear that she wanted a quilt and gave me some ideas of what she wanted. (link to old post on taking orders). Plain Spoken is the result. Dimensions - 84" x 90" (213cm x 228cm).

Ester Knit-a-long: Ester finds a home
http://esterkal.blogspot.com/2007/06/ester-finds-home.html
Knit an Ester shrug from the Knitty Spring 2007 collection. Wednesday, June 13, 2007. Ester finds a home. Ester fits S with a flourish. Originally uploaded by Paisley Womble. All was not lost - my friend is pretty happy with this "hand-me-down", so the fit issue has been resolved. I ended up just using a kilt pin style fastening which seems to work pretty well. I love the way that the subtle striping curves over the bust. I think this yarn really was a good find. June 14, 2007 at 10:40 AM. It's all due to.
Ester Knit-a-long: On to her new home!
http://esterkal.blogspot.com/2007/06/on-to-her-new-home.html
Knit an Ester shrug from the Knitty Spring 2007 collection. Monday, June 11, 2007. On to her new home! Ester was finished on Knit in Public Day. Though oddly enough, I was done knitting and merely sewing up and weaving in loose ends. But, people saw me with a hand knit garment. I used my cable needle to hold the front closed, though I did see some cute pins on the Loopy Ewe. The person who will receive this has tons of brooches and pins. Your Ester is beautiful! Ester Knit-a-long: Just Checking In...
http://esterkal.blogspot.com/2007/07/just-checking-in.html
Knit an Ester shrug from the Knitty Spring 2007 collection. Monday, July 2, 2007. I'm still poking along behind everyone, but finally making more progress now that I'm back from vacation and well from a cold! I've just finished the body section before the extra stitches are cast-on, and I'm still so happy with the color and the way the Skye Tweed is working out. Also, I've finally gotten into a rhythm with the cable-needle-less cables, and it really does make a big difference! July 2, 2007 at 6:50 PM.

Ester Knit-a-long: June 2007
http://esterkal.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Knit an Ester shrug from the Knitty Spring 2007 collection. Monday, June 25, 2007. Ester on the block. Ester is now lying on my table, for want of a better blocking board, and exsuding that wonderful 'wet sheep' smell of humid wool. We'll have to see how it fits later. Ever since knitting it in purple, I'm experiencing a purple wave, crocheting or planning projects with purple. Sometimes a project makes you 'discover' a colour like that. Sunday, June 17, 2007. Ester Knit-a-long
http://esterkal.blogspot.com/2007/06/well-shes-done.html
Knit an Ester shrug from the Knitty Spring 2007 collection. Thursday, June 14, 2007. Well, she's done. Feels a little small and a little big at the same time. I'm a 36 chest but it feels tight, barely stretching to meet in the front. Not much collar fold down, although I can, perhaps, adjust that. I'm less happy with the results of my "slip the stitches at the selvage" modification which, while making it pretty while I knit it, gave me a less than ideal sewing edge. June 14, 2007 at 4:35 PM. And with a g...

Too Snarky For Her Own Good: July 2006
http://vermiciousknitter.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Too Snarky For Her Own Good. All about stuff I feel like writing about. Or not. Sometimes I waffle. Thursday, July 13, 2006. Entry the eleventh: In which I wig out for a moment and then recover my calm. I have decided to be magnanimous and give the sulky tomato plant a second chance. It was with this enlightened view that I went out yesterday evening to trim the deadest of the dead leaves and photograph the one tomato that has finally. Begun to ripen. And that was fine and all except that I saw this.

Click Here For Free Blog Templates! Friday, 21 September 2012. Describe your greatest achievement or success. Why was it successful? Not a difficult question you'd think. But when I came across it as I filled out an online job application I had to admit it had me stumped. It left me sitting, staring at Boyfriend's computer screen, swivelling left to right in his chair and scratching my head with an expression of confusion not seen on my poor face since The Great Maths Resit of '05. I've written about it ...
