Friday, October 19, 2012. We have a chatter box on our hands! Everywhere we go we get comments from strangers about how well Amelie talks for a (not even) 3 year old. I don't know if she's a genius (I would like to think so! Or if it's because we never baby-talked her, or if it's just a fluke and it's nothing we did at all, but she is talking like a 5 year old—going on 10! Every day she amazes us with her vocabulary, diction, pronunciation, memorization, and the context in which she puts certain words.

Saturday, April 21, 2012. We headed downtown to explore today and had a great time with Shawn and Addison . We walked around and then had some pizza at an Italian restaurant and then checked out the kids museum/library, Imaginon (awesome place, would love to go explore more). Fresh fish at a market. Loving the oversized bugs at the Imaginon Museum and Library. Downtown Charlotte is really nice. Reminded me a lot of Orlando, just on a bigger scale and the weather was beautiful. We were walking through all the isles and all of the sudden I heard her saying something new and it took me a minute to figure out what it was that she was trying to say. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Amelie is 15 months old today. Wow! She's getting so big and soaking EVERYTHING in. We are amazed how much she is learning every day. She is an awesome communicator… she tells us when she's hungry (which is pretty much all the time), when she wants to go night-night, when she wants milk, etc. She LOVES to dance! I decided that since I don’t have the $700 for the table at Pottery Barn that I like (and probably never will! Maybe I should attempt to salvage this one. We have a cream colored coffee table. I don’t have a pic of it in this house, but here it is in our last house.-. Wood hole filler – $3.00. Glaze – $15.

She is the first for Candice and Joel who are our really really good friends that live in Kentucky. Dane has known Joel since about middle school and the 4 of us were peas in a pod when we all 4 lived in Tallahassee.
