Mixed Media and Textile Too: A Long Time Ago, Last Week
http://textiletipple.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-long-time-ago-last-week.html
Thursday, June 11, 2015. A Long Time Ago, Last Week. This lady also showed up. I would say it is a self portrait, I am a very tidy person (almost to obsession) but sometimes look unkempt. There will probably be more of these and they may become life sized. Very fun and quick to do. Thank you Kevin Womack for the floor scraps which became hair. PS Kevin made some beautiful pieces which we all can't wait to see quilted. June 12, 2015 at 10:52 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

COLD FEET QUILTER- - - -A journal of an Alaskan Quilter, fiber artist, teacher and Longarm quilter.Life in the Last Frontier. Sunday, March 30, 2014. This is a card I made for our friend Hope's 21st birthday. Yesterday we participated in a photo scavenger hunt with her and her family and friends. Driving all over town following clues written by my friend/her mom Mindy, and sister Christie. She also like to use the buses, so here we are at the bus stop by the Dimond Mall. The meal was vegetarian potluck.

COLD FEET QUILTER- - - -A journal of an Alaskan Quilter, fiber artist, teacher and Longarm quilter.Life in the Last Frontier. Sunday, January 04, 2015. We had a quiet but beautiful Christmas this year. We enjoyed every moment together. We have promised Carl we will finish her quilts in progress, and help him sort through her things, doing a garage sale for him in the spring. This was our view of Mount Foraker and Mount McKinley. Our view of Mount Susitna-Sleeping Lady. In the morning I opened the curtain...

COLD FEET QUILTER- - - -A journal of an Alaskan Quilter, fiber artist, teacher and Longarm quilter.Life in the Last Frontier. Sunday, December 15, 2013. Here it is mid December already. I've been in a bit of a funk. We have lost 2 dear friends since October 30th, and the dark days has just made it a little harder. This is a quilt I finished the quilting on for my friend Jackie Carley. She left me a lot of spaces to quilt in. It really was a fun one to quilt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Artful Quilters Bl...

This little quilt is about 8 inches square. It's a whole cloth that I used paint sticks and a stencil for the colors. I let it cure for about 3 weeks then quilted it. It was fun! Below is the one I made for Rena. This last photo is from my Calendar Girls group on Thursday. Follow the link to see the rest. Monday, April 07, 2014.

Saturday, February 12, 2011. Creative Secrets - Episode 1 - Test Episode. Well, here it is, my experimental first attempt at a vlog. Bear with me as I'm learning the ropes, but please do share this with friends, click the old 'thumbs up' icon under the video on the YouTube. Page and throw it around in Facebook while you're at it! If this generates enough interest, I'll go ahead with planning out more episodes. One thing I've learned: Maybe not so much the filming under yellow light. Karen, thats great!

Aaron Paquette Journal: Mist on the Mountainside
http://aaronpaquette.blogspot.com/2011/02/mist-on-mountainside.html
Wednesday, February 02, 2011. Mist on the Mountainside. Mist on the Mountainside. Digital (iPhone Brushes App). Here's a quick piece I created on my iPhone using the Brushes App. I'm actually a closet watercolourist but still working on my skills. I found the interface easy to use but the screen 'real estate' far too small. This is what would prompt me toward an iPad, creating quick sketches in full colour any time any place. In the years that have passed, I see now that the mountains were my cure for a ...

Oh, the glamour...: November 2005
http://rachelsimons.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Oh, the glamour. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Have you missed me? I have been off sick. In my opinion there are 3 bad things about being off work. 2) feeling guilty about being off work cos you're sick. 3) having 3 days worth of work to catch up in one day when you get back from being sick. Now go away and leave to me to snivel in my corner. Posted by Rach at 10:13. Saturday, November 26, 2005. Posted by Rach at 21:40. Friday, November 25, 2005. Posted by Rach at 17:27. As I was trudging up the Royal Mi...
