Internet hiatus post - the essential kit. 18 July 2015 @ 01:40 pm. I wrote this on like …Monday. Or Tuesday. It’s Saturday now. I don’t have time to do a secondary update right now, so this’ll do. We’re on an Unintended Internet Hiatus, as our broadband stopped working for some reason that no doubt has to do with moving and not having been able to get it sorted out because of things beyond our control. I had, as best I could tell, been pretty much housebound from the 1st of July through the 10th, excepti...

You can just wait until those skills are developmentally appropriate, and start then - in the meantime, filling a child's time with activities which are. November 19th, 2014. Life in a Wet Year - MoonScape. Life in a Wet Year. Jul 6th, 2015 10:05 pm. Robber flies arent the prettiest of insects, but theyre large and theyre interesting. I think I have a shot somewhere of a large dragonfly with a robber fly, but I dont remember for certain. This fellow landed on a tall stalk of grass right beside me.so I took its picture. Great Pondhawk Erythemis vesiculosa. The re...

Ask Dr. Mike - Against Entropy. The Society for the Preservation of Mike. John M. Ford Website. Ask Dr. Mike. Feb 5th, 2012 04:34 pm. The Society for the Preservation of Mike. 1) I have a question about household appliances. I once read a book where scientists kept talking about the speed of light in a vacuum. How is this different from the speed of light in, say, a blender? 2) Why do some Olympic athletes inject androids into their blood stream? Is this a coincidence, or what? 2012-02-06 12:39 am (UTC).

The Journal of Michael Merriam. Purveyor of Fictions and Truths. And Draft. And Year. Dec 27th, 2014 at 8:22 PM. I had hoped that I would finish the first draft of Ghosts of the Places We Live. Before the end of the year and I managed to hit the end on Christmas day. I think that’s a nice Christmas present to myself. Now I shall let it sit for a month or so while I work on other projects. Speaking of other projects: the next MinnSpec anthology By Polaris Bright. So, what does 2015 hold for me?

Honour Your Inner Magpie. Tell me something good? July 17th, 2015. Sometimes I ask "Tell me something good? When I'm having a difficult day and would like to improve it by seeing the good through someone else's eyes. Today I'm asking because I'm celebrating! OK, it's a small thing, but a very encouraging blood pressure reading is cause for celebration right now. Especially a very encouraging one after a series of somewhat encouraging ones. Progress?
