About | Art of the Camera
https://pamelahodgdonphotography.com/about
Art of the Camera. I consider myself more of a visual artist then a photographer. My camera is a lovely tool, like a paint brush or a sculptor’s hammer and chisel that enables me to tell my story and share my vision. A photograph coveys time and place and shows us where we have been and where we may be headed. A photograph keeps forever what life runs away with. All images appearing on this website are for sale. Feel free to contact me at pamelahodgdon@aol.com, I would love to hear from you.

Time – Photo Book
https://pamelahodgdon.com/2015/04/12/time
Adventures of a Curious Camera. April 12, 2015. May 2, 2015. I look over at the old silver radiator as it comes to life hisses and clanging. The big house always seems to be cold, even in April. I can still hear the ticking clock amid the hissing and rattling of pipes. I hear the echo of voices from somewhere in the back of the house. I am a hospice worker traveling from home to home. Along the way, I meet special people and would like to share those moments.). 2 thoughts on “ Time. Oh, thank you! Get ev...
Remembering Sally – Photo Book
https://pamelahodgdon.com/2015/08/02/remembering-sally
Adventures of a Curious Camera. August 2, 2015. August 2, 2015. It’s early Sunday morning and I make my way out to my favorite bench at the end of the pier overlooking Portsmouth Harbor. I’ve sat in this same place countless times enjoying tea and a muffin. I usually have this spot to myself and today it was just myself and the seagulls looking for pieces of muffin. What a strange morning. It really felt like someone had tapped me on the shoulder, but there was nobody on the pier but me. You are commenti...
What’s Your Writing Process? | The Greenery
https://aviatrixkim.wordpress.com/2014/09/26/whats-your-writing-process
What’s Your Writing Process? September 26, 2014. When my good friend (and fellow freelancer) Claire Gibson. Invited me to a “blog party,” I said, “sure.” And then I said, “Hmmm.”. 8220;What’s your process? 8221; is a question writers get constantly. I’m sure I’ve asked it myself. But I have a hunch it’s really coded language meaning something else altogether, something along the lines of “Tell me the magic that will make this sh*t easy.”. There is no magic. It will never be easy. How many hours a day?
Veggie Zen – Photo Book

Adventures of a Curious Camera. February 26, 2016. February 26, 2016. Veggies are some of my favorite things to photograph and I was in “veggie heaven” at a Winters Farmers’ Market held at the Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, NH. This will be the last of the winter markets in my neck of the woods. The next round of markets will be outside starting in May. I am more than ready! February 24, 2016. February 24, 2016. https://pamelahodgdon.com/category/what-matters-most
Adventures of a Curious Camera. Category: What Matters Most. Walk in the Woods. December 31, 2015. December 31, 2015. I rose early this morning, pulled on boots, zipped up the parker and grabbed my camera. Out the door I went into the little woods in back of my house. It’s the last morning before the new year. Everything seems so fresh and sparkling and I silently give thanks. I look forward to tomorrow morning and the beginning of 2016. Blessings to all! October 14, 2015. August 2, 2015. August 2, 2015.

A Bit of Yellow – Photo Book
https://pamelahodgdon.com/2015/03/16/a-bit-of-yellow-2
Adventures of a Curious Camera. A Bit of Yellow. March 16, 2015. May 2, 2015. I bought daffodils and set them on my kitchen table. The daffodils brought the sun into my kitchen and chased away winter’s shadows. I looked at the daffodils and took a little of their yellow glow just for me. Yellow laughter filled the kitchen as snow fell white and silent. What Love Tastes Like. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. New England Travels – Photo Book

Adventures of a Curious Camera. Category: New England Travels. May 8, 2016. May 8, 2016. May 2, 2016. May 2, 2016. I drive by this little lake just about every morning. Today it seemed so dreamlike with the early morning mist. A Canadian goose was in the water close to the shore. Unfortunately, he didn’t stick around to pose for me. The little black spot in the ripple of water at the bottom right is my goose swimming away. It’s still a pretty picture. Petey’s Lobster Pound. April 17, 2016. April 17, 2016.
What Love Tastes Like – Photo Book
https://pamelahodgdon.com/2015/03/18/what-love-tastes-like
Adventures of a Curious Camera. What Love Tastes Like. March 18, 2015. May 2, 2015. When I walked in the front door, I found my husband standing there proudly holding a freshly baked birthday cake. My big, burly husband held a square pan in his hands. Inside was a chocolate cake with vanilla icing smeared on top in varying degrees of mountains and valleys. Stuck precariously in the icing were six pink candles blazing brightly. Surprised I was indeed! A Bit of Yellow. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Spontaneously discovering what form they want to be in and what they have to say captivates me like nothing else. When I get lucky and bump into my best friend, Flow, in the studio she generously bathes me in plucky pleasure leading me to exactly the right outcome.
Scattered Thoughts
April 1, 2018. April 1, 2018. After my little terrier mix passed away, I went back to the beach where we usually took our walks. I couldn’t wrap my brain around it. How could she be pawing at my shoulder, pestering me to get me out of bed to begin our day and then be gone? Gigi felt better immediately, so I thought a short ten minute walk on soft sand would be alright. It was a beautiful morning and spring had finally arrived. Naturally, we would get the tea and muffin first. March 20, 2018. Normally, my...
