How Ms Conception was conceived. I wrote Ms Conception after I had already written a play and done some stand-up about the trials of being a mother. I have to confess that I was pretty appalled by the whole process, and writing was my therapy (in addition to my actual therapy which went on for four years). I also hoped that the book would entertain and help other women in the same position. Sorry, but that s just a little taste of what women have to go through. A natural birth and lactation fascist.

GSAW and #Grey: not so very different after all. The fans begged both authors to write a sequel:. It took Miss Lee 55 years to release #GSAW (some including one v persistent man on my TL - say it s only been released because she s too doolally to know the diffs). It took EL James about 55 minutes to write #Grey. Both books represent a loss of innocence:. Who thinks blacks are children that needed to be protected from their own stupidity. Women get abused in both books:. Ana is given many tight slaps.

How I got published. It took me four years to get my novel published digitally. Yes, people. Four long years. And another three years before it came out properly in print. Lesson number one: don t make changes until you have a contract. After that happy experience, I sent the manuscript off to countless other publishers with no luck. Finally, I decided that I was going to self-publish - digitally. My friend, Minky Stapleton. Lesson number two: don t send them the whole book until they ask for it.
