The Vanishing Mom: Next stop, RELIEF!
http://thevanishingmom.blogspot.com/2012/05/next-stop-relief.html
Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Next stop, RELIEF! When I first thought about starting a blog I promised myself I wouldn't hide the uglies when I blogged. You see WLS comes with many pretties:. The look on peoples faces. The amazing food I get to eat. The wonderful people I've met. The list could go on. This comes with a price though. Some of the uglies:. Losing clothes you love. Losing friends because they can't handle your success. Constipation due to vitamin supplements (this is my biggest ugly). Its 8:30am&#...

Lucky Dog Rescue Blog: RIP Kidd Kraddick
http://luckydogrescueblog.blogspot.com/2013/07/rip-kidd-kraddick.html
This isn't an "animal rescue" post. nor is it a "personal" post. Regardless, I felt the need to write today. Radio DJ Kidd Kraddick died on Saturday, in New Orleans. He was just 53 years old. And quite honestly. even though it may sound crazy for me to say this. Why is this relevant to my animal rescue blog? Why is this relevant to my life? Well it just is. It's extremely hard to put my feelings into words. but here's my best attempt to explain:. Back then. because I never knew what tomorrow would br...

The Vanishing Mom: Let's talk bread
http://thevanishingmom.blogspot.com/2012/04/lets-talk-bread.html
Monday, April 30, 2012. I was once a lover of bread. Crusty Italian bread,. Tender French bread,. Spinach dipping bowls made out of bread,. Warm fresh Ciabatta bread,. Chunks of bread dipped in Italian oils. In other words if it was made with flour I was in love. Then I had my surgery. A lover of bread I am no more. If and when I do crave bread now, I eat a bite. No more, no less. This has everything we look for in a bread at only $2.00 a loaf! Should I want to indulge in a few bites there is only 11....

The Vanishing Mom: June 2012
http://thevanishingmom.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 12, 2012. A year ago I was just 4 weeks away from my surgery. I can't even begin to explain just how much my life has changed. I'm going to try my best to share all the marvelous things I have experienced. So besides the numbers on the scale what else has changed? 6 My posture. As silly as this might sound this is big for me. I never realized how hunched over I was. I stand straighter, sit straighter and my back thanks me for it. It takes some getting used to but every day I...7 My energy l...

http://thevanishingmom.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Things I may have forgotten. Posting more than once a day is confusing. So rather than make two posts I'll save what I wanted to post today for tomorrow. In the meantime I'd really appreciate it if you made your way over to Blackberry Mama. S blog and wished her a Happy Birthday! And don't forget to tell her who sent you! Jully 11th, 2001. This was my view in pre-op as I waited to be brought upstairs for surgery. Not much to see, just more of the view I had from bed. The view f...

The Vanishing Mom: May 2012
http://thevanishingmom.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Thinking about the fact that my weight isn't at the forefront of my life anymore I applied to jobs. Better than applying I scored a job! I could of easily found a desk job that had me sitting all day, but I didn't want that. I wanted a job that keeps me moving, on my feet and interacting with customers. I wanted flexible hours and a great staff. I found all that and more. I work at WAWA! Today I even had my 10 year old jog with me. We watched The Fat Boy Chronicles. When I first th...
