Pamistan: Turpan to Dunhuang--August 3
http://pamistan.blogspot.com/2007/08/turfan-to-dunhuang-august-3.html
Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Sunday, August 5, 2007. Turpan to Dunhuang- August 3. For some reason, travel in China seems much easier than Central Asia. Here, for a price, it's easy to find someone to scrum on your behalf for a train ticket. Turpan has no train station, that's in Daheyan, about 40 miles to the north. I have a small problem of finding a seat since the train originates back in Urumqi. That can be worked out, they say! Posted by Pam on the road. Who would have thought...
Pamistan: The Great Game: Kashgar--July 31
http://pamistan.blogspot.com/2007/07/great-game-kashgar-july-31.html
Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. The Great Game: Kashgar- July 31. By Peter Hopkirk, who tells a great tale of the personalities and geo-conflicts of the two powers of the time. And for a fun afternoon, Rudyard Kipling's. Is a thoroughly entertaining read, as well. The Silk Road is alive and well here, so is the Great Game, with the powers-that-be in the world vying for Central Asia's markets and resources. Some photos about town:. Posted by Pam on the road.
Pamistan: June 2007
http://pamistan.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Saturday, June 30, 2007. Georgia Out of My Mind- June 28-29. June 28- Batumi, Georgia. When you step out from the Hotel Beso and see a man walking a monkey down the street, it's time to start posting on the blog. What is Batumi about (besides being a cheap, introductory Turkish Airlines destination)? The port of Batumi. Does anybody really want to sunbathe on rocks? A Batumi garden spot. June 29- Batumi to Tbilisi. 7:30 in the morning and I have to wake...
Pamistan: Across Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan--July 25

Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Thursday, July 26, 2007. Across Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan- July 25. Here) Fallout contaminated some 300,000 sq. km. In one village, they figured it was "one Hiroshima for every inhabitant." There continues today all the accompanying horrible sicknesses from the radiation. On the steppes of Kazakhstan. Pamistan: From Osh to Kashgar, China--July 29-30
http://pamistan.blogspot.com/2007/07/from-osh-to-kashgar-china-july-29-30.html
Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. From Osh to Kashgar, China- July 29-30. The first day's drive climbs up a beautiful little valley to the summer pastures of the Kyrgyz. Yurts become commonplace, along with the flocks of sheeps, goats, and yaks. Horses are beautifully taken care of. Note: will post more pictures when I can. These are just a few:. Entering the town of Sary Tash. Along the mountains heading towards China. Posted by Pam on the road. Yurts seemed to ...

The Pam-African Queen: Saint-Louis
http://pamafricanqueen.blogspot.com/2011/06/saint-louis.html
Cairo to Cape Town 2010 And more! Thursday, June 30, 2011. Today is only five hours, and after a while I fall asleep because roadside Senegal is full of dead cars, occasional dead animals, and some stretches of spectacular trash on the side of the road. Please, people, any Senegalese reading this, don't trash your country; have a little respect for it. I'm riding with a torso behind me. A street in Saint Louis. Pam on the road. Cairo to Cape Town 2010 And more! Monday, July 4, 2011. It's a Minefield Out Here. Off we go, and an hour later, we clear Mauritanian immigration. Now the fun begins. There’s an interesting three-kilometer stretch of no-man’s land between Mauritanian immigration and Moroccan immigration, with landmines on either side of the dirt track—1000s of them. This is not the place for a toilet break in nature. I ask my driver what his nationality is, and he answered. 8220; Sahrawi—Polisario.”. Pam on the road.

Cairo to Cape Town 2010 And more! Sunday, June 27, 2010. The Blue Nile Falls. For a few dollars I join a ferenghi. Take any of these kids, clean them up a bit, and put them to work at the Limited Express or the Gap at the mall, and they'd make a killing. Pam on the road. No pictures for a while since connections are agonizingly slow here. Will put them up asap. Anyway, what does roadside Ethiopia look like? Pam on the road. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. No Visa for Me. Cairo to Cape Town 2010 And more! Thursday, July 29, 2010. More summer fun in Goma, DRC. It's not always gorillas that attract the hardcore traveler to Rwanda. Goma, that thriving, vibrant metropolis of the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, sure brings them in. Um, maybe not. Gorilla viewing takes more money and time (both which are running low), so I opt to take a mini-bus to Gisenyi, Rwanda's own "beach" resort on Lake Kivu and just a few kilometers from Goma. Main Street, Goma. Emmanuel takes me c...

The Pam-African Queen: Nouakchott to Nouadhibou
http://pamafricanqueen.blogspot.com/2011/07/nouakchott-to-nouadhibou.html
Cairo to Cape Town 2010 And more! Saturday, July 2, 2011. This is an intense country. What can you say about a place where slavery still exists, female genital mutilation goes on (although there's a new fatwa out banning it), and young girls are sent to fat farms where they are force-fed 16,000 calories a day to make them attractive to potential suitors? You'll be hit with a stick. Girls often marry between 12-14 years of age. Charming. People actually live in this bleakness. Pam on the road.

Superficial unravellings along the Silk Road- 2007. Thursday, August 9, 2007. End of the Road- August 7. Xi'an is a big, noisy Chinese city. Central Asia definitely lies to the west. I wander through some plastic curtains in one building, and it looks like Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge (London). One whole floor is devoted to cosmetics. I spin on my heels and get out of there fast, perhaps by fear of seeing how awful I look. What else about Xi'an? Ever wonder what life is like in your own country? Taxi ...
Pamiętnik stereotypowej nudziary
Niedziela, 21 lutego 2016. Pierwszy wpis w tym roku he he :P. Oc...

Pam Is Trying
The older I get, the more I realize I'm still not who I want to be, but.I'm trying. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. I had laid there, unable to respond to anything around me. My family was there. I fought to breathe, but found I was unable to do it. I gasped for air. It seemed to be the signal they all needed to know my time was here. One daughter called for another, and she called for another. I could see what was beyond anything they could ever imagine. Beauty like none could imagine laid before me. I know ...

Dienstag, 10. Januar 2017. Nachfolgend nun also der Originalpost.
