At this time a year ago, the yield on the 10 Year Treasury stood at 3.03%. Sales of vacant lots which have not yet enjoyed the upswing we have seen in home sales remained sluggish. Only 7 lots were sale pending at the end of September and only one lot had closed during that month. The lot that closed was a waterfront lot with a dock that closed at $125,000. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. So, what is happening right here in Pamlico County? The number of vacant lots for sale in Pamlico County stood at 377 at month's end, a multi year high. Lot sales remain much weaker than home sales. Four lots pended during the month and four lots closed.
