On July 4, Doug and I took a boat tour from St. Anthony harbor, at the northern tip of Newfoundland's Great Northern Peninsula. We saw an iceberg up close. Even more unusually, we saw a humpback whale do all the tricks they are famous for, including breaching 4 times. Quite a show! All these things have made me aware of ordinary miracles, near and far.

There is beauty everywhere, even on the grayest days. Today is the day. August 29, 2012. Today is the day I get new kitchen cabinets put in. We are opening the kitchen up and moving the sink. Overall, the process has been relatively easy, except for a few hiccups getting the delivery company to deliver the cabinets.
