Pam's Garden Spot

Sunday, June 19, 2016. Front border - East side. I trimmed all of the dead branches out of these Snowmound spireas earlier this spring. They were in full bloom on June 4, along with the purple Walker's Low nepeta. This is the east side of a circular patch of grass that I call the secret garden. You can sit on that little bench and disappear from the world. This yellow Baptista is a volunteer - it sprouted from the seed of the Starlite Prairieblues Baptista, (behind the yellow one in the photo) which was ...

Pam's Garden Spot: Texture and Color

http://pamsgardenspot.blogspot.com/2015/07/texture-and-color.html

Monday, July 6, 2015. Doesn't the curve of this path make you want to explore? Contrasting textures and colors are what make a garden interesting. And when you walk down this path, your eye is drawn down the path by the repetition of the chartreuse color. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hostmans Silberlocke Pine Cones. Hidden in the border. Pam's Garden Spot: Hidden in the border....

http://pamsgardenspot.blogspot.com/2015/07/hidden-in-border.html

Monday, July 6, 2015. Hidden in the border. There is a bit of a gap in the far edge of the border that surrounds the fairy circle and I decided to fill it this year with this little vignette. The black plastic piece is Deer Away to prevent the deer from eating the wax begonias. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hostmans Silberlocke Pine Cones. Hidden in the border. Pam's Garden Spot: June 2014

http://pamsgardenspot.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 26, 2014. I just love watching my little goldfish in the pond! And I found the "Big-Eyed Fish" statue at a nearby garden center and had to add it to the pond for fun! Bed with funky birds. This little bed is near the pond - Color Guard Yucca (first time I've tried to grow yuccas) and Moonshine Yarrow. Just started working on the flagstone path around the pond. I try to get a few stones laid at a time - quite the process! Finally got this big raised bed mulched! Additions to my fairy garden!

Pam's Garden Spot: Lilies in bloom!

http://pamsgardenspot.blogspot.com/2015/07/lilies-in-bloom.html

Monday, July 6, 2015. Hard to believe that all these pink lilies started from just a dozen bulbs. Love the way the varigated japanese fleece flower mingles in the lilies. Look how the pink stems reflect the pink of the lilies. Pink, pink, pink! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hostmans Silberlocke Pine Cones. Hidden in the border. View my complete profile.

Pam's Garden Dreams

Gardening in an urban backyard. Friday, August 28, 2009. I finally have ripe tomatoes! My early efforts in the garden have also turned up garlic and some very poorly weeded, but not too small onions. They tasted great, we had some last night! Also, the raspberries are starting to ripen - yum! Tom served me some last night with homemade whipped cream I had made and frozen earlier this year. A little bit of garden happiness! Oh, I forgot to mention what kind of tomatoes they are! They sure are good, though.
