Project Pantera #1998: May 2014
http://pantera1998.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Pantera car restoration project. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. I ran into Nancy in Idaho while on vacation over the weekend. Nancy's husband passed away some time ago but Nancy is still driving their Pantera! Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Shift Knob and Clutch Master Bracket. Here's an interesting shift knob I was able to pick up for not a lot of money. I hope my hand doesn't burn from touching it when the sun is shining. I tried out a similar knob in a friend's car and liked it. Tuesday, May 20, 2014.

Project Pantera #1998: Just working
http://pantera1998.blogspot.com/2015/02/just-working.html
Pantera car restoration project. Thursday, February 12, 2015. I'm definitely planning to go with electronic fuel injection right from the start. I'm not scared by it, especially given the great new technology out there. The Mendeola was fit, mounts created, and is being sent back to Mendeola for evaluation of the necessary changes. If Mendeola decides to make the necessary changes and cast a bellhousing, there should be a good alternative to the ZF available soon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Pantera car restoration project. Monday, August 25, 2014. I have been working on the Pantera but failed to post. I finished the half-shafts, finally. I'm going to wait to grease them to keep them nice and pretty looking. I love the natural cadmium plated finish. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Just wired a little differently. View my complete profile.

Project Pantera #1998: Rebuilding Clutch Slave/Master Cylinders
http://pantera1998.blogspot.com/2014/09/rebuilding-clutch-slavemaster-cylinders.html
Pantera car restoration project. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Rebuilding Clutch Slave/Master Cylinders. I've been working on rebuilding the clutch and slave cylinder. Most people don't bother rebuilding for a number of reasons:. 1 Rebuild kit availability isn't great. There used to be a greater supply of seals but not lately. 4 Actual replacement master cylinders are available from Italy, at a price that isn't too bad. 5 Stainless steel versions of the slave cylinder are available but are expensive.

Project Pantera #1998: January 2014
http://pantera1998.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Pantera car restoration project. Saturday, January 25, 2014. I took the shifter housing, lever, plunger, etc. from the storage shelf and cleaned it up. Here are all the parts, degreased and ready for reassembly. I'll assemble everything after the shift rod is replaced or modified. A new one is about $100. Here's the plunger location that is redundant with the shifter detents within the ZF transaxle. I haven't decided what to put back in the hole, but I'm tempted to not put anything in it.

Pantera car restoration project. Saturday, November 16, 2013. Sealing up the ZF. I made a lot of progress with the ZF. Monday, November 11, 2013. Half Shaft Plating (Part IV). Here's a bag of the half shaft nuts and grease seal washers. Notice the ZF drain plugs, shifter detent, speedometer gear bolt, side detent cover, and top fill plug. Although not related, here's the ZF top fill plug, cadmium plated. I'll finish everything off with a nice satin clear coat. Sunday, November 3, 2013. 14- M8x1.25x25...
