The Scholls: October 2009
http://johnandlindseyscholl.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Texas A&M vs. Utah State. Here's the line-up. . . Listen to the melodious tunes of the Fightin' Aggie Band. Though we were excited to see the band, we were there to watch football. And when Kyle Field called, John had to answer. . . Some shots of the stadium and the game. Although there were some tense moments when we dropped the ball (literally), our cause prevailed and we triumphed over Utah State. So there you have it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saturday, July 25, 2009. Homecoming, Texas Edition. We thought we'd share these pictures of our Texas homecoming from Italy. For those of you in Italy, you can see where we've landed! The Farm. This is where John and I will be living. It's spacious and rustic, with plenty of parking. In the foreground is my trustworthy (and sporty) chariot. Here are just a few shots from inside the farm, to give you an idea of the decor. :-). The outbuildings. Clearly, we won't lack for storage! After staying in Hempstea...

Monday, March 30, 2009. Cinque Terre, Addendum. Since Caroline saw fit to post a picture on Facebook of me sleeping on the train, I now feel the freedom to do likewise. Helen is trying not to smile but Caroline is legitimately out. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Cinque Terre, Part 2. Here are some more highlights of my trip to Cinque Terre (pron. cheenkwey terreh. John just corrected me- on the last post, I had Cinque Terra, but since it's five. Lands, it's Terre, with an 'e'. For those of you who have recently...

Saturday, January 31, 2009. Happy 10th Birthday, Seth! Or in Italian, 'Buon Compleanno! You're in the double digits- no going back now. Wish we could be there, but we know you're having a good time without us. Love ya! Monday, January 26, 2009. Bardonecchia, Day 3. Here's us on our cute little ice-skating rink. We were the only ones on it for most of the morning! And finally, to wrap things up, here's me illustrating my stunning sense of balance. Friday, January 23, 2009. Bardonecchia, Day 2. Here are ou...

Friday, May 29, 2009. Switzerland, Part 3: More Lucerne. In the afternoon, we took a boat trip. A round-trip ticket to a little village called Wegis (pron. Veh-gis) got us about an hour and a half out on the lake and some more views of Swiss German architecture. Here's Lucerne from the water and other views along the way. We don't see boathouses like this at the Lake of the Ozarks. This is the type of boat we were on. As you'll see in the video, it has paddlewheels on both sides. More views around Lucerne.

The Scholls: A family trip!
http://johnandlindseyscholl.blogspot.com/2012/09/a-family-trip.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2012. It's been sooo long, but here are some pictures I think you might enjoy. I was able to visit the fly-in in Missouri this August, and then we had some extra little visitors on our farm in September. But first, the fly-in. Look at these handsome fellas. There's a Stinson back there, for those who have eyes to see. Here's Noah, dreaming big. And Seth, from his position of authority. Mom, Dad, Sam, and Katie. Wonder what Katie's thinking about? And why is Sam giving Dad that look?

Thursday, January 12, 2012. So here's a brief photo tribute to the Dublin Bottling Plant:. Cases of empty bottles, waiting to be filled. At the Dublin Bottling Co., you can get either a Frosty Pepper or DP served hot, which was surprisingly good! Rob joined us on our last trip to the plant. It was bittersweet, but mostly sweet. Here's Amadeus enjoying his Christmas present: a real dog bed! The troops at work. The camaraderie level is high. The attention to detail. . .meticulous. But some of us decided to...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Over Labor Day weekend, Mom and Dad moved our stuff down to Texas from Missouri. With Steph and Jeff's permission, they brought along Seth and Noah for their first glimpse of Texas. Most of their exciting adventures are well documented on Papa and Nana's blog ( www.papaandnanao.blogspot.com. But here are some additional photos to help you picture the experience. Give Seth that black eye. He gave it to himself. Long story. Relaxing after a long day's work. . . In a coup d'et...

The Scholls: March 2010

Monday, March 15, 2010. The Lab chronicles, continued. Since Amadeus is supposed to be a purebred Lab, we thought we'd chronicle a few of his more dignified, breed-worthy moments. It's worthwhile, by the way, to click on the pictures in this post and zoom in so you can get a better look at the flowers. Here he is admiring the wildflowers Tom planted. And also the naturally occurring flowers in our front yard. Aren't the flowers lovely? Our yard is an explosion of color every morning. I thought you guys m...

Friday, May 14, 2010. Amadeus, Jake and Andrew. Once upon a time there was a puppy named Amadeus. Amadeus was a happy puppy. Mostly he was very excited to live on a farm, because he had access to GREAT BIG cow bones. Amadeus' mommy and daddy even built him a room all his own that was full of toys, had plenty of shelter, and gave him a pleasant view of the surrounding fields. Here's a little video of his playtime with the boys. But, whew, those boys had a lot of energy! Here's our garden in full bloom!
