darla myers art: December 2011
http://darlamyersart.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Whimsically inclined fine art. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Be careful what you ask for! With a short hiring timeline he got barely 3 weeks notice. I'll be holding down the fort in Alaska until warmer weather, then working on the move south. Can I just say it's always something? I just rediscovered Bento. Paintings wrapped, labels and put away. More of the finished work new organization. I did manage to fit in time to rework a painting for the Members Show at International Gallery of Contemporary Art.

darla myers art: January 2012
http://darlamyersart.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Whimsically inclined fine art. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Reclaiming paintings that have been languishing in the temporary limbo of the unfinished is bringing back the muse. The studio feels lighter and has more room for creative thoughts already. And I've got some pretty fun new paintings out of the process. Just seeing a smaller stack of unfinished, unloved works makes a big difference, which while refreshing, surprised me with it's effect. Saturday, January 21, 2012. I'm finding the idea of a whole new...

Whimsically inclined fine art. Sunday, September 7, 2014. Moving to Montana upset my writing rhythm for sure. I have been busy and active, just not writing here. But upon reflecting I realize that writing and posting pictures is a part of my creative process and I need to return to it! Here is a quick photo journey with a few highlights of this summer. AhRed Ants Pants, White Sulpher Springs, MT. Really loving the antlers! Strings of lights and tent-so fun. Sort of a crown, Butte, MT. Near Sedan, MT.

darla myers art: October 2012
http://darlamyersart.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Whimsically inclined fine art. Thursday, October 25, 2012. I seem to have lots of painting ideas flying around in my brain, waiting to settle down and get on canvas or panel. I have to write down little notes about them when they surface, otherwise they risk getting pushed aside from the next idea. Once I have time to focus on paintings I can go to my little book of random painting ideas and see which one gets my attention. Windy second day out, in David Mensing workshop. Day one cattails and trees.

Various scenes on the Bray Grounds:. Even amazing art in the restroom! Promote Your Page Too.

Whimsically inclined fine art. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Encaustic Conference in Texas. I was able to attend the Encausticon 2012 a couple weeks ago in San Antonio, TX. Good thing I had some practice being in hot weather in Montana. It was HOT, over 100 most days, cooled to 80's at night. It was a great time filled with all kinds of Art goodness. There was a fantastic encaustic Juried Art Show sponsored by IEA during the conference. It was held at Gallery Nord. On Sunday, Joyce. Time to get back to t...
