October 1, 2012. Oregon Used Bookstores - Updated 06/23/2013. We find that a lot of used bookstores don't always advertise as efficiently as possible. Frustratingly, most that do utilize the Yellow Pages or similar methods. Yellow Pages ad rates are such that a lot of businesses will buy a multi-year run of the ad, which means that, in any given phone book, a number of such ads will be for shops that are out of business.
