The ubiquitous first day of school pictures. Nora started preschool last Monday. She has been counting down the days until she could go and was very excited to get ready for her big First Day. This next sequence of photos is my favorite (especially the last one, even though it's blurry). She is saying, "I'm SO excited for school! That is SO cute, I mean, come on! I love her first day of school outfit, it makes me want to just wink and wink at Nora. I wish we loved closer to each other! Mom and dad gordon.

What Halloween would be complete without a trip to the local pumpkin patch? As I'm posting this, I'm realizing that I don't have great pictures. But, eh, it's all I've got. And next. carving the pumpkin. We actually bought our pumpkins at Trader Joe's because the prices at the patch were kind of ridiculous. Catch up (which is what i'm always doing on this blog). Surprisingly, I have some pictures to share (it's surprising because I always forget to take pictures). I caught Nora singing into the door handle like it was a microphone while spending some quality time on the toilet. And had mini ice cream cakes! And blew out candles! And John took me on a trip to San Francisco! All right, all right, enough of the exclamation points). Starting the Land's End trail at the Sutro Baths. And happy belated bday :).

I got some pretty cool stuff, including 60 bucks of Itunes combined which I LOVED. I currently have 32 TV episodes on my Ipod, 14 of them pushing daisies episodes.yeah I kinda need to get a life, but oh well! Oh, we're on a roll. Thursday, July 24, 2008. Koi, oh Koi! So, some friends and I took a little trip into DC to visit the National Arboretum. I had no idea what it was all about but it has some amazing things to see there. One of my favorite things about this little excursion was watching the Koi fish. SO FUNNY! I think I could have fed them for hours. Lastly, they had the original pillars from the Capital Building there, which I had no idea that the originals weren't still with the rest of the building!
