I have a cousin who blows glass. She makes icicle ornaments and tiny colored jars with cork tops. One Christmas, she gave me a jar with perfect smooth sides, at once sturdy and delicate, protective and impermanent. I aim for similar quality. It is my heart, after all. Popular place, huh?
