Paramount 47 Chris Craft Commander 1968. Sunday, October 2, 2011. It's been awhile. Lots has happened. I've been more than a bit remiss on not updating the blog for the last year! In a nutshell: the new engines lasted 20 hours - yup the second pair! One of the piston connecting rods snapped the pin and dropped into the block and this caused the block to crack. End of engine and end of the boating season (again). Not one to be kept down, Doug ordered a pair of Crusader 8.1's and Dr Doug did the install.

Paramount 47 Chris Craft Commander 1968. Saturday, December 12, 2009. Over to Granville Island for the finishing touches. A new hatch for the aft deck. The original teak hatch had become very weak after it was sanded by the company that painted the decks, they had sanded through the screw ends which were holding the wood to the bronze ring. They painted the hatch the same as the decks to hide the problem. The engine bolts are being picked out in silver along with the dip stick and filler caps.
