If You Plant the Seed, They Will Come! – Teaching for Life
https://barbarasut.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/if-you-plant-the-seed-they-will-come
General observations about teaching and learning from a recently retired teacher. If You Plant the Seed, They Will Come! My daughter’s sunflowers have finally bloomed and they are grand! I had my first ever Baltimore Oriole visitor. Since then he/she has shown up a couple of times and I look forward to its reappearance. Its bright orange body is such a striking contrast to the other birds we are used to seeing. Puzzled, we looked for the bird in our bird book and learned that…lo and behold…it...Maybe we ...

Making time to read and write…. Slice of Life 3. Slice of Life #5 →. Slice of Life 4. March 4, 2015. I believe in the Dewey Decimal System,. That mysterious code,. That lives in a fathomless drawer,. On fanned, yellowed cards, perfumed and sweet. That code, written on scraps of paper,. Carried through catacombs of shiny bound books,. Fingers strumming spines, lips mouthing numbers,. Until time stops, and for one small strand, all is deciphered. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Slice of Life 3.

One Little Word…Dance. Asymp; 11 Comments. But, now, I’m thinking of the challenge of finding “one little word” at this bend in the road, and the one little word that keeps popping in my head is…dance. Because, when we dance, we live in the moment, freely, embracing life and breathing it in….not waiting for the moment, but making the moment happen. 8220;If the neighbors look in the windows, they’ll think we’re nuts,” my dad said on that Sunday night. Imagine That: SOL16 #13 Bridal Shower Blues
http://imaginethatcrystalbrooks.blogspot.com/2016/03/sol16-13-bridal-shower-blues.html
Sunday, March 13, 2016. SOL16 #13 Bridal Shower Blues. Today I attended a Bridal Shower for a cousin of my husband. This was the first shower I had been invited to in many years and I am aghast at how they have changed. There was one game, lifting the plate and seeing who had the groom's picture and two door prizes. I have to plan and execute a Bridal Shower in the early fall, the bride-to-be was at the bridal shower I attended to day we had the following text message conversations. You made me laugh!

Sunday, March 8, 2015. Slice #8 Woebegone Kind of Day. I've avoided writing this all day! Sifting pictures for something else I came across these two shots. I do not remember taking these pictures. The little guy in the picture doesn't have a real gun, it's a toy. I know this is controversial him having a gun, but where I come from it's a rite of passage. I wish, he was still here just for you. If I could cry enough tears to build a staircase, I would! Love and Miss you Dad! I miss your Tuesday night call.

Imagine That: SOL16 #2 Motivation=Habit

Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. Then she goes on to compare writing to running:. This might seem as overwhelming as running a 5K for 30 straight days. But what if it is possible to develop a writing habit? Unlike running for an inexperienced runner, writing isn't something we have to build up to. You can decide to start writing, and there will be no physical pain.". Thanks for all you do! It's that time of year where I pick up on my blog again and participate in the "Slice of Life" challenge hosted by the "Two Writing Teachers" blog. I like that this is a 31 day challenge.
